Notice of Nondiscrimination Under Section 504

In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the City of Calimesa does not discriminate on the basis of disability in admission, access to, treatment, or employment in its programs or activities.

City ADA/504 Policy

The City complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (504). The City is committed to ensuring that people with disabilities are able to take part in, and benefit from, participation of public programs, services, and activities offered the City. The City continues to modify its facilities, programs, policies, or practices, as necessary, to ensure such access is provided.

Nondiscriminatory  Operations

The City is committed to ensuring that persons with disabilities are provided with the opportunity to participate in programs, services, activities and events. The City provides opportunities for participation in the same manner as those of nondisabled persons and in fully integrated settings. The City shall make a good faith effort to identify and remove those barriers which prevent persons with disabilities from realizing the same opportunity to participate in programs, services, activities and events.

Public Notice of the ADA and Section 504

In addition to the City’s ADA/504 Policy Statement, the City provides public notice of the rights afforded in accordance with the ADA and Section 504. The City does not discriminate on the basis of disability. Program applicants, participants, the public, employees, job applicants, and others are entitled to participate in and benefit from programs, activities, services and events, without regard to disability.
