Public Hearings are brought before the Hearing Officer and are held on an as-needed-basis. Public Hearings are held in the Norton Younglove Senior Center, 908 Park Avenue, Calimesa, CA 92320.

Hearing Officer
The Mobile Home Rent Stabilization Hearing Officer is responsible for:
- Hold meetings from time to time as requested by the mayor, the city council, the city manager, or upon the filing of a petition with the city clerk.
- To examine any rental agreement submitted to the hearing officer by any party to the rental agreement for the purpose of determining whether the space is subject to rent control under CMC Chapter 9.05 when reviewing a petition for a rent increase under this same chapter.
- Receive, investigate, conduct hearings on and approve, conditionally approve or disapprove petitions for, or protests against, adjustments of rents in mobile home parks. All hearings of the hearing officer shall be open to the public.
- Conduct studies, surveys, investigations and public hearings and obtain information as may be necessary to carry out their duties.
- Subject to the approval of the City Council, to adopt, promulgate, amend and rescind such administrative rules and regulations as the hearing officer finds reasonable and necessary for the conduct of their affairs and to implement and administer the provisions of the Ordinance. (Established by Municipal Code Chapter 9.05).
- Except where such rules are in direct conflict herewith, the hearing officer shall be subject to the regulations and standards of conduct for city commissioners, committee members, board members and hearing officers as established and amended from time to time by resolution of the city council.
- To keep records of their proceedings which shall be submitted to the city council and open for inspection by the public.
- To perform such other duties as may be delegated to the hearing officer by the city council.
