Successor Agency to the Calimesa RDA
Meetings
The Successor Agency to the Calimesa Redevelopment Agency meetings are held as necessary concurrent with the City Council meetings on the first and third Mondays of the month.
Purpose
This page serves at the Internet site for the Successor Agency to the Calimesa Redevelopment Agency. California law eliminated redevelopment throughout the state in February 2012. The law, Assembly Bill X1 26, required the establishment of successor agencies to complete redevelopment activities already underway and make payments on debt already incurred by the Redevelopment Agency. Each successor agency is required to have an Internet website.
On this page, the public can view the Successor Agency's current Recognized Obligation Payment Schedule (ROPS) (PDF) as well as the Successor Agency's ROPS for the next six-month period. These schedules show what payments are necessary to complete projects and pay-off debt for a six-month period. A new six-month schedule will be adopted each February and August until debt has been paid.
Once the ROPS has been approved by the oversight board, it will be posted on the successor agency's Internet website. Each payment schedule must also be approved by the local County Auditor-Controller and the State Department of Finance. In addition, all notices required by law for proposed oversight board actions will be posted on the successor agency's Internet website on behalf of the oversight board.
Projects
Dissolved by the California Legislature in February 2012, Calimesa's Redevelopment Agency had an exemplary track record for successful projects in the areas of:
- Public Infrastructure
- Revitalization
- Economic Development
- Affordable Housing
- Neighborhood Preservation
